This class will run from 8:30 am til 2:30 pm on Saturday, May 23rd. There will be a brief break for lunch around noon.
The objective is to introduce the student to fan carving. We will discuss sourcing, selecting and preparing material. Students will be presented with several options for tool selection and maintenance, as well as some useful workholding strategies. We’ll carefully guide you towards success as you undertake this deceptively simple process. We’ll also make a second bird, and prepare a few extra blanks for you to take home.
