In this all level woodworking class students will learn table saw basics while creating a phone or record holder out of a solid piece of wood. The class will focus primarily on table saw safety and cutting techniques. The goal is to learn how to operate a table saw safely and with confidence. In addition, we will cover the miter saw, basic sanding and finishing best practices. No prior woodworking experience necessary!

Class will take place on Wednesday October 7th from 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM.

Will Cowart has been hanging around wood shops since he was a little kid by way of his Dad and Grandpa's shops. His took an opportunity to work as a cabinetmaker in 2016 and hasn't looked back. Working alongside some of the best cabinet makers in the Chicagoland area and more recently in the Triangle, Will honed his skills and gained the understanding of proper furniture and millwork construction. Moving to North Carolina 2018, Will continues to create custom furniture and millwork in his shop just outside of downtown Durham, NC. @wkcwoodworks
