Did you know about the Mid-West Tool Collectors Association?

Who?

Are you a woodworker? Do you like old tools? If you answered yes to either or both questions, you should consider joining the Mid-West Tool Collectors Association (M-WTCA).  

What?

The M-WTCA, founded in 1968, is one of the largest not for profit collecting organizations anywhere. Its membership is dedicated to the collecting, use and appreciation of traditional and antique tools.

Members have access to both national and local meetings. Meeting provides the opportunity to buy and sell tools, meet other tool enthusiasts, hear educational discussions and see tool displays. Meetings are the place to pick up tools that are no longer made, round out a collection and possibly find that one item you've always wanted, but couldn't find.

The M-WTCA publishes a magazine available to members called The Gristmill. The Gristmill has information about various tool meets, articles about specific meets and tools of interest. A one year subscription is included with your membership.

Where?

For those of you in the triangle, there is a local meetup in Mebane, NC. The next event is October 3rd, 2026 from 8 am to noon. You can find the schedule on the M-WTCA website.
